Target Audience

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of RNs, NPs, PAs, and physicians involved in the care of patients with hepatitis B.

Educational Objectives

After completing this activity, the participant should be better able to:

  • Identify regions where HBV is prevalent and the importance of screening patients from these regions.
  • Utilize strategies to overcome culture-specific patient barriers in your current patient population.
  • Demonstrate proficiency of HBV serology interpretation.
  • Evaluate individual patient cases to identify which patients need to be referred to specialist care.
  • Describe how new and emerging HBV therapies fit into the current treatment armamentarium.

    Participants in ECHO HBV Bootcamp must have video-conferencing technology. If a video-conferencing system (such as Polycom) is not available, the ECHO HBV Bootcamp staff will provide participants with a free Web-based system called Zoom.

    To use Zoom, participants must have a PC, tablet or laptop that has a camera, microphone and speakers. Participants also will need a robust Internet connection.
